A few years ago, I found myself heading down a path I never anticipated. More accurately, one to which I was strongly opposed. It would not surprise me at all if you found yourself in a similar space. Most likely, that's why you're here.
Nearly 30 years ago I received the following (very bad) advice from our pre-marital counseling pastor: 'Never say no when he asks.' I don't think the pastor realized how this opened the door to 20+ years of abuse in a multitude of forms.
Dr. Sheri Keffer has defined 'trauma squared' as a person who has experienced abuse not only in their marriage by a betraying spouse, but also one who has suffered in childhood.
Does any of this resonate with you?
If so, and if you're looking for a path through the pain of betrayal - especially betrayal trauma - let's chat. I have been on my own path of recovery, restoration, and redemption since 2017. There is still a lot of growth to come, yet I see how God has been opening doors to move forward and use this story that was meant for evil and to turn it to good.
I would love to walk alongside you as you grow into strength, confidence, safety, and rest; as you become empowered to redefine your identity in Christ and move through the pain and suffering into all the abundance God has for you as His beloved daughter.
